RecFishWest represent 750,000 fishers in Western Australia. They are a not-for-profit community-based organisation who are a contractor to government. They focus on sustainability and safety.

The Challenge
RecFishWest required an easy-to-use highly compatible mobile app (for both Apple and Android) that allows all users regardless of technical ability to identify fish species and associated rules, restrictions, and view catching/eating advice. The mobile app had to be designed to be futureproofed with expansion in mind.

Our Solution
The app that was developed enables RecFishWest to maintain the database of species, in-app advertising, and related information themselves using a comprehensive backend management system. The apps and backend system were originally released in 2016 by Redi Software and has undergone a total rewrite and modernisation in 2022 due to changing business requirements.
