Redi Software is proud to announce we have launched a total rebuild of our app for RecFishWest. Recfishwest is the peak body representing the interests of 750,000 recreational fishers in Western Australia and have a long-standing service level agreement with the WA Government. RefFishWest are a not-for-profit organisation which strives to ensure high-quality recreational fishing experiences are maintained and enjoyed, as an integral part of the WA lifestyle.

Redi Software originally created their app around 5 years ago and is used by hundreds of thousands of users right across Western Australia. While very much loved the original app was built in a ‘Windows Metro’ style which was popular at the time. The App was also created in Microsoft Xamarin. As technology has changed a lot since the app was first created and the way apps are design has moved on; the decision was made to totally rebuild the app using React Native and give the entire app an entirely new user experience which was much needed after 5 years! The very popular app is now even easier to use, with a fresh new look and exciting new features.

This is a great example of two local Joondalup based enterprises coming together to innovate and use technology for a great purpose, in this case to protect, promote and develop sustainable fishing
